As an LPN with Hold Health Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work with various healthcare facilities in different parts of Canada, providing exceptional patient care and making a real difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with assessing patients' health status and developing care plans based on their needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or registered nurse
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes in their condition to the supervising nurse or physician
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide specialized care based on your area of expertise
Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Active registration with the nursing college in the province/territory where you will be working
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Vulnerable Persons Check and Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Empathy and observational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Specialty Skills:
- Emergency Room LPNs: Must have experience working in an emergency room setting, knowledge of emergency medical procedures, and ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Long-Term Care LPNs: Must have experience in providing care to patients in long-term care facilities, knowledge of geriatric care, and ability to manage multiple patients with complex medical needs.
- Home Care LPNs: Must have experience in providing care to patients in their homes, knowledge of assessing patients' unique needs, and ability to develop care plans that promote health and wellness.
- Other nursing skills: Familiarity with tube feeding, catheterization, wound care, medication management, intravenous (IV) therapy, and other nursing skills may be required depending on the position.
