Hold Health Staffing is a leading nurse staffing agency serving healthcare facilities across Canada, and we are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Aides to join our team. As a Healthcare Aide with Hold Health Staffing, you will provide essential support to patients and their families, and play a critical role in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal care needs, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Help patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Provide basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs, measuring and recording fluid intake and output, and monitoring patients' conditions
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, according to patients' dietary requirements and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as changing bed linens, cleaning patient rooms, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, and communicate any concerns to the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, as required by healthcare policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized Healthcare Aide program
• Active registration with the nursing college in the province/territory where you will be working (if applicable)
• Minimum of 6-12 months of experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, long-term care facility, or home care environment
• Vulnerable Persons Check and Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and transfer patients, and stand for long periods of time

Specialty Skills:

• Palliative Care Aides: Must have experience in providing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, knowledge of pain management and end-of-life care, and ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Mental Health Aides: Must have experience in providing care to patients with mental health conditions, knowledge of behavioral management techniques, and ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Rehabilitation Aides: Must have experience in providing care to patients undergoing physical therapy, knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, and ability to assist patients with mobility and exercises.
• Pediatric Aides: Must have experience in providing care to children with acute and chronic medical conditions, knowledge of child development, and ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.
